NEVER OPERATE THE POWER HEAD WITHOUT AN ATTACHMENT.
The attachment connects to the power head via a coupler device.
Stop the motor and remove the battery pack.
Loosen the wing knob.
Remove the end cap from the attachment. Align the arrow on the attachment shaft with the arrow on the coupler, then push the shaft into the coupler until you hear a clear "click" sound, indicating it is locked in place (Fig. B).

Pull the shaft to verify it is securely locked into the coupler.
If not, rotate the shaft side to side until it snaps into place.
Tighten the wing knob securely.
Ensure the wing knob is fully tightened before operating the equipment.
Check periodically during use to prevent serious personal injury.
Stop the motor and remove the battery pack.
Loosen the wing knob.
Press the shaft-release button and, while holding it down, pull or twist the attachment shaft out of the coupler.
Stop the motor and remove the battery pack (if installed).
Loosen the wing nut to separate the adjustable front-assist handle (Fig. C).

Push the front-assist handle onto the shaft between the threshold ring and the coupler (Fig. D).
Insert the clamping block into the handle slot (Fig. E).
Mount the lock pole and pre-tighten it with the wing nut.
Ensure the front-assist handle is positioned upwards and points toward the top of the rear handle (Fig. F).
Adjust the front-assist handle between the threshold ring and the coupler to ensure the front arm is straight while operating.
Verify that the arrow on the front-assist handle is within the limitation range marked on the coupler (Fig. G).

Lock the lever of the lock pole (Fig. H).
Never operate the tool without the front-assist handle firmly in place.
Only fix the front-assist handle between the threshold ring and the coupler.
