WARNING: Read and understand the safety instructions before you install the product.
CAUTION: Use original spare parts and installation materials.
Inspect the product carefully to ensure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
If any parts are damaged or missing, please contact the EGO Service Center.
A robotic mower that moves the lawn automatically.
A charging station, which has 2 functions:
To send control signals along the boundary wire so the product can follow the wire to specific remote areas in the garden and find its way back to the charging station.
To charge the product.
A power supply, connected to the charging station and a 100-240 V power outlet.
Loop wire, laid around the work area and around objects/plants that the product must not run into. The loop wire is used as the boundary wire.
CAUTION: Uneven lawn surfaces or areas of standing water can damage the product.
Make a blueprint of the work area and include all obstacles.
Mark on the blueprint where to put the charging station and boundary wire.
Fill in holes in the lawn.
Cut the grass before installation. Ensure the grass is no more than 10 cm high.
You can install the boundary wire with stakes or bury them. Both approaches can be combined in the same work area.
CAUTION:
If you use a scarifier/dethatcher in the work area, bury the boundary wire to prevent damage.

Keep at least 1.5 m free space in front of the charging station, 40 cm free space behind the charging station. Keep at least 35 cm free space from the boundary.
Keep at least 1.5 m free space on the work area of the charging station (Fig. C).
NOTE: The RIGHT side of the charging station (C-4) must be placed inside the cutting area.
WARNING: Do not cut or extend the low-voltage cable. There is a risk of electrical shock.
Put the power supply in an area with protection from sun and rain.
Use a residual-current device (RCD) with a tripping current of maximum 30 mA when connecting the power supply to the outlet.
The boundary wire should be put as a loop around the work area. Sensors in the product detect when it approaches the boundary wire, and the robot selects another direction.
Put the boundary wire at least:
40 cm from the boundary.
35 cm from an obstacle 5+ cm high (Fig. G1).
30 cm from an obstacle 1-5 cm high (Fig. G2).
10 cm from an obstacle less than 1 cm high (Fig. G3).
If the work area has 2 unconnected areas, make a secondary area (B). The main area (A) must include the charging station.
Put the boundary wire around the secondary area to make an island.
NOTE: The boundary wire must be put as 1 loop around the total work area (A + B).
NOTE: When using the secondary area, select the secondary area mode.
